Welcome to the Cebu Institute of Medicine and the beginning of another academic year, 2010-2011.

CIM has largely benefited and has become what it is now from the excellent leadership provided by the previous Dean and now the CIM President, Dr. Josefina L. Poblete. We will focus on continuing the Culture of Excellence and keep the momentum by concentrating on maintaining the national recognition we've had in our endeavors.

In the recent 2004-2008 data from the Professional Regulations Commission on the Performance of Medical Schools of the Philippines which was released during the last APMC Convention (January 2010), CIM is ranked second in the whole country with a national passing percentage of 92.2%. For the past 7 national medical board examinations including the 2009 board exams we had maintained a 100% passing rate. With our dedicated faculty, staff and students we will move forward to aggressively develop specially in the areas of research and education, pursue new areas of scientific endeavor and hopefully address the changing paradigms in the health status and the delivery of health care in our country

We have been making significant progress specifically in the improvement of our school facilities. Thanks to our committed alumni here and abroad. They, the alumni, will continually play a very significant role in the future direction of our institution. Together, with our faculty and students we are looking forward to an even brighter future for CIM.
